Main Street Participates in 2022 Child Advocates’ Pull for Kids Classic Event
In May 2022, Main Street participated in the Pull for Kids Classic event alongside Child Advocates. Child Advocates (http://www.childadvocates.org/) mobilizes court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse by speaking up for abused children who are lost in the system and guiding them into safe environments where they can thrive.
The Pull for Kids Classic is Child Advocates’ largest annual fundraiser held at, American Shooting Centers, a Main Street Portfolio Company. Main Street sponsored and participated in the 30th annual Pull for Kids event. The event begins with a daytime sporting clays tournament followed by a silent auction to raise funds to help the thousands of abused and neglected children in Harris County.
Main Street supported the charity by participating in raffles, bidding on silent auction items, and providing monetary donations of $15,000. In addition to the donations, Main Street employees supported the charity by having a team participate in the sporting clays tournament. Ultimately, the team helped Child Advocates reach their goal of $600,000 to serve 1,800 children in 2022.
