Main Street Partners with Operation Gratitude in Honor of Veterans Day
In November 2022, Main Street partner with Operation Gratitude to organize a hands-on volunteer event at our offices. Operation Gratitude (https://www.operationgratitude.com) is a nation-wide nonprofit dedicated to providing people across our great country with opportunities volunteerism to express gratitude to our military, veterans, and first responders. The nonprofit has honored more than 3.5 million deployed troops, veterans, military families, and first responders.
In recognition of Veterans Day, Main Street donated $5,000 worth of supplies and a monetary donation of $5,000 to Operation Gratitude. In addition to the donation, Main Street employees also volunteered their time to help assemble paracord bracelets, sort supplies and package and deliver the care kits. The team came together and was able to make 100 paracord bracelets and 500 care kits. The hand-crafted paracord bracelets can hold up to 550 lbs. of weight and have hundreds of uses in emergency situations. The care kits consist of an assortment of travel size hygiene items that were assembled by our employees. Both the paracord bracelets and the care kits are included in care packages sent to military, veterans, and first responders.
