Main Street Partners with Operation Gratitude in Honor of Veterans Day
In November 2023, Main Street partnered with Operation Gratitude to organize a hands-on volunteer event at our offices. Operation Gratitude, a nation-wide nonprofit (www.operationgratitude.com), is dedicated to providing people across our great country with opportunities volunteerism to express gratitude to our military, veterans, and first responders. The nonprofit has honored more than 3.5 million deployed troops, veterans, military families, and first responders.
In recognition of Veterans Day, Main Street contributed $9,000 worth of supplies to Operation Gratitude. Beyond the monetary donation, Main Street employees also volunteered their time to assist in assembling battalion buddies and care kits. The battalion buddies are stuffed bears sent to comfort the children of our nation’s deployed troops. The care kits consist of an assortment of travel size hygiene items that are included in care packages sent to military, veterans, and first responders. The collaborative effort of the team resulted in the creation of 200 battalion buddies and 375 care kits.
