The Opportunity

Main Street Capital is a publicly-traded investment firm located in Houston. Main Street is a private equity and debt investor in entrepreneurially-run companies across the U.S.

Main Street is seeking top-tier students for both full-time employment and summer internship positions. Main Street Capital Investment Analysts have the opportunity to see the full deal process from origination to closing, as well as post-closing portfolio management initiatives. Main Street’s tightly knit culture allows for mentorship from experienced investment professionals, opportunities to travel with the investment team on live deals, and one-on-one time with Senior Executives and Founders of Main Street.

Investment Analysts Experience:

  • Evaluation of prospective investment opportunities
  • Interactions with investment bankers to learn more about potential deal opportunities
  • Modeling, transaction structuring, and due diligence

The Requirements

Candidates for this position should be motivated, results-driven contributors that have the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while communicating effectively with multiple team leads. Applicants need an ability to work independently and with a wide variety of personalities in a team.
